Unveiled July 4, 2006

Bronze sculpture depicting George Washington astride his dapple grey stallion at Valley Forge.
Washington had a number of different mounts during the revolutionary war,
the horse depicted here was known as "Blueskin" a Half-Arabian
who was one of two of Washington's horses to survive through the entire war.
Washington retired the two horses, Blueskin and Nelson to Mount Vernon after the war.
