Custom horse artwork is created using many photographs and measurements
as well as by observing the real horse or video of the actual horse whenever possible.
This allows Kim to more accurately capture the spirit and personality of the horse.
For bronze sculpture horse portraits, measurements help to create
the portrait of the horse with it's actual proportions.
When the actual horse is not available for taking measurements and
observation as a model, Kim seeks out a "stand-in". (A horse with
the same measurements and build as the horse who is the
subject matter of her sculpture.)
